Help Build Gaur Nitai’s Home at DumDum!

A Sacred Vision for the Future

Welcome to the ISKCON Dumdum Temple Project!
Together, we have the unique opportunity to build a Temple of Love for Gaur Nitai in Dumdum, Kolkata. This sacred temple will serve as a beacon of spirituality, devotion, and community for all who seek the divine blessings of Gaur Nitai. Your support will help create a lasting legacy and a vibrant, spiritual sanctuary for future generations.

From Humble Beginnings to a Growing Need

ISKCON Dumdum, located in the serene area of Motijheel, near Dumdum Airport, began its journey in 2014 with a modest 300 sq. feet hall. This humble beginning was made possible by the generous donation of property by a well-wisher, Sri Sankar Lal Chakraborty, in 2013. As more devotees began to visit, the temple's small hall could no longer accommodate the growing congregation. With the support of the community, we expanded to an 800 sq. feet hall, which has served us well for years. However, even this larger space is now falling short, especially during festivals, when the number of devotees increases significantly.

To continue serving the spiritual needs of our growing community, we are now embarking on the next phase of our journey: building a larger temple. The new Gaur Nitai Temple will provide a peaceful and spiritual environment for worship, spiritual practice, and community gatherings. We invite you to be a part of this divine project, helping us create a lasting space for devotion and spiritual growth.

A Sacred Home for Gaur Nitai: Our Vision for the Future

We are excited to announce the Phase 1 of our temple construction project. This phase will focus on building a beautiful 1600 sq. feet temple hall to accommodate more devotees and provide a serene space for worship and spiritual activities. The deities of Sri Gaur Nitai will be installed in the new hall, and we are planning a grand inauguration in November 2025.

This new temple will be a sacred home for Gaur Nitai, where devotees can come together to chant, meditate, and engage in spiritual practices. Your generous donation will directly support the construction of this divine space, making it possible for us to continue serving our growing community and spreading the teachings of Krishna Consciousness.

Phase 2: Expanding Our Sacred Space

After the completion of Phase 1, we will begin planning for Phase 2, which will include:

A larger temple hall to accommodate even more devotees.
A prasad restaurant to serve sanctified food to visitors.
A seminar hall for spiritual programs and community events.
Guest houses for visiting devotees and pilgrims.
A library with a vast collection of spiritual texts.
Gift shops offering books, spiritual artifacts, and more.
This will be a place where the community can gather, grow spiritually, and experience the divine presence of Gaur Nitai.
